Description
The symbol at the center of the ring is the Phoenix. A powerful symbol of survival, resurrection, recreation, and rebirth.
The engraving on top of the ring says:
“He who has a why can bear almost any how.” This line was used in Viktor Frankl’s book, Man’s search for meaning, which chronicles his experience in a concentration camp.
The phrase was actually taken from Friedrich Nietzsche.
Many of us search for things outside of ourselves; searching for happiness without realizing that the answer lies within.
This search for fast, instantaneous gratification will lead us to misery while this striving to find a meaning in one’s life is the primary motivational force in man.
According to Frankl, he who has found a purpose in life can overcome any obstacle in their path. When you’ve found your “meaning” or your “why” You will be able to bear almost anything.
The symbol of the Phoenix was taken from the Greek mythology. This mythical creature was able to regenerate or being reborn again, by rising from the ashes of its predecessor.
We’ve used this symbol in the ring because it represents your power to rise again from the ashes and to recreate yourself anew. It symbolizes that the ability to transform one’s own life when one finds his own will and his personal meaning and purpose.
